The Supervisory Board of the Issoire Hospital Center approved the restructuring project presented by the Territorial Operational Team of the Territory of the CHU and by the company Mupy. This decision follows the favorable opinion of the Governing Council, dated 9 September 2022, which validated the updated version of the hospital center reconstruction project and its EHPAD.

The main operation will consist in the demolition of one of the buildings which dates back to the 1970s, followed by the construction of a new building on the current site of the Issoire hospital, where emergencies will take place. , continuous monitoring, radiology, the gynecology-obstetrics department, short-term hospitalizations and all consultations at the Hospital Center. Delivery in four to six years

This project, supported by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regional Health Agency and the Puy-de-Dôme Departmental Council, foresees a total investment of 68.5 million euros, of which 19.5 million euros for the EHPAD. The operation will last for six years. Construction is scheduled to commence in late 2023. The architect’s appointment will be registered in early 2023. On the EHPAD side, the construction site could progress more rapidly, over a period of about four years.
