New Delhi | The steering committee of the Congress is born. The committee is made up of 47 members. The new president of the party, Mallikarjun Kharge, announced the steering committee. In addition to Kharge, who heads the committee, there are 47 members. Until the Plenary Session, the Steering Committee will act in place of the Working Committee, which takes the important decisions of the Congress.
After Mallikarjun Kharge took over as president, the existing working committee was dissolved. The new members of the working committee will be elected at the next AICC conference. Senior leaders AK Antony, Oommen Chandy and KC Venugopal are on the Kerala steering committee.
