Eleonora Mitrofanova gave flowers to Mireille Mathieu, who did not understand the boos in the room

Mireille Mathieu’s concert in Bulgaria lasted just over two and a half hours. The French star sang 26 songs, some of her signature hits from the 60s and 70s, but also songs from her latest albums, as well as songs from the great Edith Piaf’s repertoire. With “Hymn of Love” and “I’m not sorry at all”, she brought the audience to their feet in Hall 1 of the NDK.

Mireille Mathieu said that in the room there are fans from Switzerland, France, Italy and Norway who often accompany her. Due to the pandemic she had interrupted her concert activities and this year before her Sofia she sang only in the Czech Republic and Poland.

Almost the entire diplomatic corps had come to meet the “ambassador of the French song”, as Mathieu is called. Ambassador of the Russian Federation Eleonora Mitrofanova caused a slight embarrassment after presenting flowers, which caused disapproval whistles in the hall, which the French singer never understood. Then Mathieu waved small French and Bulgarian national flags which were given to her by the children.

The singer changed her dress 3 times – she appeared in a gold dress, which was replaced by a silver sequin dress of the same cut, and for the encore – with a classic une petite robe noire (black dress).
