It is very common for users of social networks to perform any type of publication that receives uncomfortable comments for the author. This is why Facebook has thought of those users who receive offensive, controversial comments or who simply do not want them to appear in the publication, but who also do not want to delete them completely. For this reason, now in the most popular social networks, the comments that the author decides can be hidden.
A big difference between deleting and hiding comments is that when they are hidden, the user who wrote the message never finds out that it was hidden, as both the person who wrote the comment and their friends continue to see the post. as normal. However, for other users, the words automatically become invisible within the Facebook post.
Hiding comments is very simple and all you need is to have the official Facebook application installed on your mobile or tablet. And the best thing is that this action does not generate any kind of danger, neither for the account that hides it, nor for the one who posted the comment that was hidden.
The first thing to do is to log into the account normally, that is, by entering the user and the corresponding password. Then you need to go to the post where the comment you want to hide is located. Subsequently the comment chosen to hide must be pressed continuously, the option that says “Hide comment” will appear immediately, this option is chosen so that it is immediately hidden.
It is important to remember that this option has no consequences, no limits. Therefore, any user can hide all the comments he wants, as often as he wants, without having any problem with this action on the social network.
If for some reason the user regrets hiding the comment, the solution is very simple: you have to follow the same steps, locate the hidden comment, which will appear in another color, press and hold this comment for a few seconds and select the “Show comment” option, which will make it appear as if it has never been hidden.
On Tuesday, the American group Meta assured that it had solved the global blackout that affected billions of users of its WhatsApp instant messaging and apologized.
“We know that people have had trouble sending WhatsApp messages today. We have solved the problem and we apologize for any inconvenience, “a Meta spokesperson told AFP.
The origin of the fault has not yet been specified. A few hours earlier, Down Detector, which tracks digital service failures, reported seeing a major WhatsApp outage.
“User reports indicate that WhatsApp has been having problems since 09:17” (07:17 GMT), the site reported, recording several thousand reports from users around the world.
The incident was confirmed by Meta, who assured that he would do everything possible to restore WhatsApp “as soon as possible”. According to social media testimonials, users were unable to message or connect to the service.
WhatsApp, which in February 2020 surpassed 2,000 million users worldwide, is one of the most popular free messages.
It was acquired by Facebook in 2014 for just over $ 19 billion, the largest acquisition ever made by Mark Zuckerberg’s group. On Twitter, the hashtag #whatsappdown (WhatsApp disabled) was one of the most followed trends in the world on Tuesday morning, especially in Europe.
Users of the Blue Bird social network mocked the instant messaging outage, claiming that Twitter would enjoy and experience an influx of connections. Once the service was restored, many netizens expressed their relief.
On Instagram (Meta group) several million messages mentioned the blackout under the hashtag #Whatsapp. Meta platforms, social networks Facebook and Instagram, as well as messaging services WhatsApp and Messenger, have already been victims of an unprecedented massive blackout last year.
The duration and extent of this disruption of four services used by billions of people made it a serious accident, to the point where Downdetector identified it as “the biggest ever” on social media. Facebook then acknowledged that the incident was due to an error on his part and not a technical problem.
