Berlin (dpa) – BIG won the German-speaking tournament of the League of Legends Prime Super Cup 2-0 against streamer team No Need Orga. In the quarterfinals, BIG meets Gamerlegion.
“It was definitely a challenging series,” said BIG jungler Jackson “Pabu” Pavone in a post-series interview. “No Need Orga is also very good. To a point where they are comparable to the top tier Prime League teams.”
In the Super Cup, teams from the top three divisions of the Prime League compete against each other. BIG entered the series best-of-three as a clear favorite against NNO, who had been promoted to the Prime League first division after a successful relegation.
The first game was still a draw after 30 minutes, but in the end BIG kept his nerve and secured the initial victory. After that, things didn’t go according to plan for NNO at all: BIG invaded the promoted team and wiped them off the pitch.
With the regular 2: 0, BIG is in the quarter-finals of the Super Cup. There, the Berlin team meets the Prime League champions of the Gamerlegion spring season.
