The Lebanese women’s team is the West Asian champion

The Lebanese women’s team defeated its Syrian counterpart and took the title of the West Asian championship for women under 18, for the second time in a row.

The Lebanese women’s team, under 18, retained the title of West Asian Federation champion in its third edition, after defeating their Syrian counterpart, five to one, today, Tuesday, at the “Fouad Shehab” stadium in Jounieh ( Lebanon).

And the goals of the Lebanese team rotate: Amina Karima (43 ° and 61 °), Christy Maalouf (45 ° + 2), Heba Alloush (47 °) and Evelina Al-Haddad (83 °), while Hayat Diop scored the goal of the Syrian team (59th minute).

The Lebanese player, Christy Maalouf, won the award as the best player of the tournament, while the player of the Jordanian team, Maya Oweisat, won the award as the top scorer of the tournament (4 goals) and the Syrian goalkeeper, Raneem Abu Latif, won the award for best goalkeeper.

Interestingly, the Lebanese team holds the title of the second edition of the tournament, held in Bahrain in 2019, in which the Bahraini team finished second and the Jordanian team finished third.

The first edition of the tournament took place in 2018 in Lebanon, where the Jordanian team won the title at the expense of the Lebanese team.
