4 candidates from the region got medals!
During the world final of the 46th Worldskills Competition, 4 regional candidates distinguished themselves in this prestigious championship and won a medal.
Formerly known as the Skills Olympiad, the Worldskills Skills Competition is the largest competition in the world for youth and skills. This competition consists in making in front of an audience and in a limited time a production that concentrates the technical difficulties of each profession. It takes place in three phases: regional selections, national final and world final.
A real dynamic tool for promoting professions, these young people under 23 can thus showcase their know-how in a competition that brings together 85 countries.
“For the first time, all the candidates from our region selected for the French team have won medals at the Worldskills World Finals! Our youth are talented and have been able to demonstrate it perfectly during this 46th edition. The participants gave their best, they surpassed themselves to represent their discipline and their territory. In total, 4 medals were won during this world final! A gold medal, a bronze medal and 2 excellence medals! These victories highlight the regional territory and its opportunities. In addition, the Region financed the 45th, 46th and 47th Competition respectively for an amount of 300,000 euros, 370,000 euros and 400,000 euros. It is also a candidate to host the national finals of the 48th Competition in 2025.
