The woman was accused of failing to save the child despite being immobile. Police said the child’s life could have been saved if he was taken to the hospital in time. On May 6, the child was paralyzed after eating sweets. The child was then taken to the hospital but died two days later.
Doctors said the cause of death was an overdose of ganja candy that got stuck in the throat undigested. The child had eaten more than half of the bottled candy.
But the police found an empty bottle. Police said the woman had committed a crime punishable by up to 40 years and was accused of negligent handling of intoxicants and neglect of minors.
