Henry Cavill has finally made it official: the actor will once again wear his Superman costume. On Instagram he gives “a little taste of what’s to come”.
After years of rumors, it’s now clear: Henry Cavill (39) will be wearing his Superman costume again. On Instagram the English actor has now confirmed his return. “I want to make my return as Superman official,” he proclaims in a short video.
With the announcement he wanted to wait until last weekend after the new DC movie “Black Adam” starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (50) as the title hero started on October 20.
Warning, spoilers!
Why: At the end of the strip, Cavill has a brief cameo as Superman, declaring war on Black Adam. He still wanted to “give his fans a chance” to see the adventure for himself. “Black Adam” is “a little taste of what’s to come,” Cavill said. And Dwayne Johnson also pointed out already in an interviewwho wants a movie where her Black Adam collides with Superman.
Sequel to Man of Steel?
It’s been nearly ten years since Cavill made a solo appearance as Superman in “Man of Steel” (2013). Recently the message got aroundthat DC and Warner Bros. will work on a sequel to the 2013 Superman movie.
Charles Roven (73) could act as a producer for the project. He produced the original nearly a decade ago and was responsible for, among other things, “Justice League” – Superman’s appearances on the DC hero team. We are currently looking for a screenwriter. Christopher McQuarrie (53) should also be on the wish list. The writer-director collaborated with Henry Cavill on “Mission Impossible: Fallout” (2018).
