CCTV News Client reported that a cruise ship with around 100 positive cases of the new crown docked on the west coast of Australia on 24 October and around 2,000 people could be stranded on the ship for several days.
According to a report by the Perth Real-Time News Network in Australia on the 24th, the “Coral Princess” cruise ship docked that morning in Broome, Western Australia. As many as 100 people on the ship have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus and around 2,000 passengers could be quarantined on the ship for five days.

The Government of Western Australia will allow large cruise ships carrying more than 350 passengers to enter local waters from the 1st of this month and the “Coral Princess” is the first cruise ship to enter. Under regulations, cruise operators are required to report onboard epidemic data to the Western Australia Department of Health 12 to 24 hours before cruise ships enter port.

The “Coral Princess” can carry up to 2,390 passengers and 900 crew members and set sail from Sydney on the 11th of this month and was originally scheduled to return to Sydney in November after passing through many places.
Since 2020, the Australian government has been keeping an eye on cruise ships entering its waters. Another “Ruby Princess” cruise ship owned by US Princess Cruises docked in Sydney in March 2020 and all passengers were cleared to disembark. It was later confirmed that hundreds of them had been infected with the new corona virus in many locations across Australia.
