Elon Musk is willing to move forward with the Twitter purchase
But it will take a heavy toll on your employees
Elon Musk states this plans to remove nearly 75% of Twitter’s workforce, which he confessed to his investors with the aim of luring them into the company as reported by The Guardian newspaper and as originally collected by the Washington Post. Twitter will have job cuts in the coming months regardless of who owns the company due to the brewing crisis, however, the situation looks dire for the company if Musk takes power.
News of Musk’s plans comes at a really tough time for Twitter. The company said in July that it had already “slowed hiring significantly” as a technology sector it is in the midst of a recession, which is hitting them enormously.
However, they claimed that “there were no plans for company-wide layoffs” in a leaked internal note from Bloomberg. Meanwhile, it looks like Twitter has gone into free fall due to the direction the company is taking overall. The acquisition of Musk has made everything worse since then the company’s approaches seem to be focused on fighting on this frontneglecting all the rest for the great uncertainty
