Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the launch of these “free” convoys takes place in implementation of the directives of Dr. Community awareness and improvement of the quality of life of the Egyptian family.
Abdel Ghaffar added that these convoys will be launched in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Menoufia, Gharbia, Dakahlia, Sharqia, Damietta, Kafr El-Sheikh, Ismailia, Port Said, Alexandria, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena , Luxor and Aswan With the participation of gynecologists and midwives, to provide safe and effective family planning methods, and satisfy the beneficiaries, to raise the rates of use of family planning methods, to the role played by the family planning specialist in clinics, mobile clinics, urban centers, general and central hospitals and maternity and childhood centers.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the convoys are working to raise awareness among the masses, through media officials and rural pioneers at the governorate level where the convoys will be carried out, pointing to the establishment of exhibitions accompanying the convoys, to show the products implemented by women. which were formed in women’s circles and health units. The ministry believes in the importance of women’s economic empowerment, due to its positive impact on the development of Egyptian families.
For his part, Dr Hossam Abbas, head of the Population and Family Planning Sector, indicated that the first of these convoys will start on 22, 23 and 24 October in the villages of “Bani Shebl, Al-Bayoum and Umm Al-Zein” Department of Al-Qanayat, Sharkia Governorate.
Abbas added that 9 convoys will be launched on 23, 24 and 25 October to roam the villages of “Al Arraba, Iqsas and Sheikh Youssef” in the administration of Maragheh, governorate of Sohag, and “Adaima, Asfoun and Al Deir. “in the administration of Esna, Luxor Governorate, and” Talat, Aqfas and Al-Fant Al-Qarawi “in the administration of Al-Fashn. Abbas added that 10 convoys for reproductive health will be launched in the villages of “Al-Akhaywa, Al-Manajat Al-Soghra and Aleiwa” in the administration of Al-Hussainiya in Sharkia governorate, and “Geris, Bani Obaid and Manafis” in the Abu Qurqas administration, in Minya Governorate, and “Al-Manashee, Al-Koudia and Dayrut Al-Sharif” in the Dayrut administration in Assiut Governorate, Samhoud, Al Habaylat Al Gharbia and Karnak are the Abuchit administrations, Qena Governorate, Bahij, Old Tower and Al Nahda, Burj Al Arab Administration, Alexandria Governorate, Al Aziziyah, Saqqara and Abu Rajwan Bahri, Badrashin Administration, Giza Governorate and “Tanan, Kom Ashvin and Qalama” Qalyub Administration , Qalyubia Governorate.
