DUBAI, October 20 / WAM / The Dubai Prosecutor’s Office revealed the number of criminal cases resumed during the first nine months of 2022, which reflected the momentum of judicial work in the Prosecutor’s Office, the speed of litigation and the facilitation of appeal procedures.
The Public Prosecutor indicated that the number of these cases amounted to 6,025 cases, of which 2,146 appeals reported by members of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which included 1,922 appeals during the first half of this year, to which were added 224 appeals during the third quarter, while the average rate of appeals was around 238 appeals per month.
Councilor Tariq Ahmed Al Balushi, Chief Prosecutor, pointed out that the numbers and statistics relating to the number of appeals against criminal sentences in the Emirate of Dubai actually reveal the extent of the quality of judicial rulings and the efficiency of the litigation system in the Emirate of Dubai, which guarantees the dealers equality, impartiality and integrity before the judiciary.
He noted that these numbers and statistics also reveal the extent of the accuracy and clarity of judgments and judicial investigations in the emirate, which positively reflects on customer satisfaction and their confidence in the courts and prosecution, in line with the strategy plans of the Emirate of Dubai and realize the visions of its leaders.
