The Secretary General of the PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto responded to Ganjar Pranowo’s statement on his willingness to run for president. According to Hasto, Ganjar’s attitude is a natural thing as party cadres.

Hasto stressed that Ganjar’s statement refers to cadres who have to go to the community to pursue the results. Hasto said the figures for presidential and vice presidential candidates have been fully handed over to PDIP general president Megawati Soekarnoputri.

“Pak Ganjar will speak when he is awarded. Yes, if. In this context, we are talking about the scale of priorities that all party cadres must go down to pursue the highest results among the people,” Hasto said in a written statement on Wednesday. (April 17, 2020). 19/10/2022).

Hasto pointed out that what Ganjar said reflects his willingness to serve the nation and the state.

“For the nation and the state, everyone claims that all party cadres are ready, because that is the function of why we have party discipline,” Hasto said.

Hasto explained that Ganjar’s statement was still in the context of assumptions. Hasto felt that Ganjar’s response in his statement was clear enough and nothing was violated.

“If I look at Pak Ganjar’s answer, it’s clear, ‘For the nation and the state, everything must be ready,'” Hasto said.

Earlier, Ganjar said he was ready if he was promoted to presidential candidate in 2024. This was communicated in an interview with a private television station.

“For this nation and country, what are we not ready for?” Ganjar said in the interview session on Tuesday (18/10).

The statement of support for Ganjar was made by several internal political parties. These include the United Development Party (PPP) and the National Mandate Party (PAN). The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) explicitly approved Ganjar as a presidential candidate in 2024.
