The actor died 35 years ago.
Pictures of Anatoly Papanov’s resting place, which can be found on the Internet, immediately attract attention. The last home of the legendary actor does not look like a typical tomb.
Papanov was remembered by millions of viewers for his roles in the films “The Diamond Hand”, “Come Tomorrow”, “Belarusian Station”, “12 Chairs”. The artist died on August 5, 1987 in his apartment of a heart attack while taking a cold shower on a hot day. He was buried in the Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow.
The state footage of Papanov’s tomb was shared by the YouTube channel Necropolis online. As you can see in the video, the burial site is strewn with flowers and three granite pillars have been perfectly preserved for the past 35 years.
At the same time, the bust of the artist also looks good: neither time nor time has spoiled it. Papanov’s gaze is sad, turned somewhere in the distance. It’s hard to believe that several decades have passed.
