THE NEW PARLIAMENT: First bell for the 48th National Assembly, MEPs swear – Politics – Bulgaria – NOVA news

Beginning of the 48th National Assembly. The first bell of the new parliament was rung by the most senior deputy – Vezhdi Rashidov. A few minutes later, the new deputies were sworn in, after which the anthems of Bulgaria and the European Union were sounded.

“I had the honor of opening the 48th National Assembly. I have lived a long time, seen a lot and am still looking for an answer. Sitting in front of you, I remember how as a child I dreamed of discovering the world. I remember the beginning with the impetus. of youth, I remember the punishment, the humiliation and the name change. I also remember the revolution: the tents, the parties. I also remember the cold winter of 1997 and the hunger strike of the Supreme Court and the protests. I remember the joy, the ups and downs. Now we are all united after another tough campaign. Some are insulted, others are offended, others are forgotten, others are insulted and others are anathemized. Once again we wonder how, why, where. In recent months , we have been immersed in rivers of speech, props, spells and efforts to prove that we are right. We have showered everything with insults and caused suffering. The simplest way is aggression and denial. But aggression only breeds aggression , and n egation leads to negation of negation, “she began. And he pointed out that wisdom is born in memory, and is built from memories. “The best prophet of the future is the past,” Rashidov believes.

After Rashidov’s speech, President Rumen Radev addressed the people and parliament.

Traditionally, in the first session of the newly elected parliament, statements are made by the representatives of the parties and coalitions represented in the National Assembly. After that, the president of the 48th National Assembly should be elected. The chairman will take over the leadership of the meeting and deliver a speech. The deputies will also elect the vice-presidents of the parliament.

The first session of the 48th National Assembly was attended by President Rumen Radev, Vice President Iliana Yotova, Interim Prime Minister Galab Donev and members of the interim government. Representatives of the Constitutional Court, the judiciary, various state institutions, the diplomatic corps and religious denominations registered in the country are invited. Previous presidents and presidents of the National Assembly were also invited to be guests of the first meeting.

The intrigue gets tangled up in the first few minutes, as deputies have to choose the President of the National Assembly from four candidates for office.

The talks for the formation of the government are expected to start in the next few days. The contact group, broadcast by GERB-SDS, is led by Rosen Plevneliev and Solomon Passi. They will seek points of contact between the parties in parliament. All parties represented in parliament, with the exception of “Vazrazhdane”, were invited to the talks.
