When the Champions League draw was completed, it was clear it was going to be really tough for Rosengård. Rosengård finished in a tough group with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Benfica.
– I spontaneously felt that now I have to tie my jogging shoes, there will probably be a lot to run. I also felt it will be super fun and extremely challenging to face Barcelona above all, Olivia Schough tells SVT Sport.
On 27 October, Barcelona await at home in Malmö, where Schough will face international teammate Fridolina Rolfö. The draw was completed when both were at the national team meeting, but not much has been said about the next meeting.
– Fridolina came yesterday to hug me and said that we will meet soon but not more.
It is the first time that Rosengård will play in the Champions League group stage, but Schough is hoping the team can enter with a bang.
– It is clear that we enter that group as a team that many probably do not believe in. We face three excellent teams, three great teams and it is also the first time that we play in groups. We hope we can be a loser who can surprise.
