Apple officially launched the sixth generation iPad Pro carrying the M2 chip. Apple first launched the M2 chip for the 13-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro earlier this year.
iPad Pro is available in two screen sizes of 12.9-inch and 11-inch. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro features Mini LED display technology which offers better contrast and superior HDR quality.
Both iPad tablets support Apple’s ProMotion feature for refresh rates up to 120Hz. The latest iPad Pro already has a new hover feature that can detect the Apple Pencil when it is positioned slightly above the screen.
Owners of stylus-compatible Samsung phones and tablets are already familiar with this concept. Apple says hovering allows users to preview it before creating it.
The iPad Pro has an M2 chip, 8GB of RAM with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB of storage. Meanwhile, 16GB is combined with 1TB and 2TB. For connectivity, the iPad Pro supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and other 5G networks around the world.
The new iPad Pro retains the same overall design Apple has been using since 2018, when the company first removed the Home button to maximize the viewing area. The color choices remain the same, namely only silver and space gray.
Apple opens pre-orders on October 18, 2022 and will be available in stores on October 26 starting at $ 799 for the 11-inch model and $ 1,099 for the 12.9-inch model.
