Historically the most luxurious Dacia has matte bodywork, 150 horsepower, full equipment and several hundred will be produced

• Only a few hundred units will reach the market

Dacia presented the Duster Mat Edition model at the current Paris Motor Show, as well as several other innovations. In essence, it is “just” the classic Duster that we normally see in traffic, but the manufacturer has added some interesting extra features in the new edition. The result is a car that can be described as the most luxurious Dacia ordinary customers can ever purchase.

The most visible change is the Comet Gray body color. As the name suggests, the lacquer is matte. Dacia has never used something like this on any of its models. The unusual color is complemented by glossy black details, such as the rear-view mirror covers or the antenna on the roof. The 17-inch alloy wheels are also glossy black. The design is underlined by the revised radiator grille in the design that all models of the brand currently receive.

The interior no longer offers unusual specialties. But the Duster Mat Edition comes in the highest possible kit, so there’s infotainment with an eight-inch touch screen and navigation, automatic air conditioning, keyless unlocking and so on. Of course, there are redesigned ventilation holes and a new steering wheel with Dacia lettering. These are changes related to the modernization of the design of the entire offer of the Romanian brand.

Dacia presents the Duster Mat Edition as a “collector’s car”. Therefore, it is not surprising that the production of Duster in this version will be limited. The exact numbers are not yet known, Carscoop magazine but cites brand officials as promising “several hundred units” to be produced in Paris. Interested parties will be able to start placing orders in the near future. The price is not yet known, but it will almost certainly be the most expensive Dacia car.
