He noted that magnesium is found in a wide variety of foods, including high amounts in bran, some seeds, nuts and spinach.
Other potentially diabetes-related deficiencies include zinc and chromium, which have multiple roles in insulin and glucose control. However, more research is needed to clarify their role.
