An Autumn “Up State”! Unlike New York City, New York State is very green. It allows city dwellers to take a break for a day or a weekend away from the city and its turmoil. Because there is a lot to do in this sprawling region from Manhattan to Lake Ontario in the north.
Already with the most famous waterfalls in the world : LThey are Niagara Falls and their impressive roar, marking the border with neighboring Canada. It is also where 1969 Woodstock festival (and its two sequels).
Less known, the nature reserve of Catskills Mountains, with nearly a hundred peaks, lakes, waterfalls … This park is very popular with New Yorkers who can hike on weekends. But New York State is also home to a city that often rhymes with Halloween: Sleepy Hollow.
