The Ballon d’Or 2022 took place at the Theater du Chatelet in Paris on Tuesday (18/10/2022) in the early morning WIB. Karim Benzema first won the Ballon d’Or after beating Sadio Mane and Kevin De Bruyne.
Benzema has never been in the top three nominations for the Ballon d’Or. This year, the Real Madrid striker emerged as the winner.

Benzema was then given the opportunity to deliver a victory speech. He called Zidane, who on this occasion a trophy donor, an idol. Benzema also called Ronaldo (Luís Nazario de Lima), who was present on the eve of the Ballon d’Or gala.
“I was motivated to win it because of my two idols: Zidane and Ronaldo,” said Benzema, quoted by the official Real Madrid website.
“This is an award that is in every player’s mind. It is very difficult to win, but not impossible. I don’t think only about scoring goals, but about having fun on the pitch and helping my teammates.”
Ronaldo is like a hero in Benzema’s career. The Frenchman learned a lot from the Brazilian football legend and also praised Zidane.
“Ronaldo knows he is my hero and has no equal as a striker. What he does on the pitch is historic and impossible to repeat,” Benzema explained.
“He is the only striker who has nothing to complain about. Both he and Zizou are historical. Ronaldo is the phenomenon”, confirmed Benzema.
