In general, the construction of the overpass will cost 37.8 million without value added tax or 45.8 million euro with value added tax.
The original agreement provided that the construction of the flyover would cost 42.5 million euros, therefore, due to the consequences of the war caused by Russia, the price increase is 1,289,130 euros.
As reported, the opening to traffic of the new overpass is scheduled for the second half of November.
The length of the new flyover without exits is 454.4 meters. It consists of seven separate span structures in both directions and two connections – to the Viestura elevation and via Tvaika. During loading, the experts measured the deviations of the transmission and compared them with the theoretical calculation. A general inspection of the transmission bay structure was also carried out.
Department of Transport of the Riga City Council signed the contract for the construction of the overpass with the “OTC” association.
Implementation of the project has become more expensive due to the war started by Russia in Ukraine and the sanctions introduced against Russia and Belarus.
