The new brand identity of Daciawhich does not renounce the favorable quality / price ratio, wants to affirm the brand owned by the Renault Group as a dynamic car company capable of responding to the needs of the new public. The new brand, theDacia Link emblemit is positioned in the center of the front grille, and symbolizes the union of D and C, as if to constitute the ring of a chain, a symbol of solidarity and strong bond. In addition to the restyling of the dealers, the new brand identity was also accompanied by the availability of new colors.
But the most important novelty present at the 2022 Paris Motor Show is the Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 (in the photos above), which is in fact the first hybrid car of the brand, equipped with the E-Tech powertrain of the Renault Group (here renamed Eco-smart). The technical specifications have not been communicated, but the same engine mounted on Renault Clio and Captur and Nissan Juke. It is a hybrid consisting of two electric motors, one of which moves the front wheels, together with the aspirated 1.6-cylinder petrol engine for a total power of 140 hp. The electric units are linked by a clutch-free four-speed transmission with no synchronizers.
Among the novelties brought to Paris there is also the Dacia Duster With Edition (pictured above and below), a very complete set-up of the popular SUV that will be offered in a limited edition exclusively in combination with the new Comet Gray shade with a matte effect, the first matte paint of the Romanian house. In addition to the Comet Gray paint, the SUV comes standard with 17-inch black alloy wheels, a shiny shark antenna and matching rear-view mirror caps with an orange ribbon in the center. Being a new version, the Dacia Duster Mat Edition will be able to count on the new logo of the Romanian house, in combination with the renewed lettering on the tailgate. Inside is the multimedia system visible on the 8-inch touchscreen, a multi-view camera, and automatic climate control. The Mat Edition is with the 1.3-liter TCe 150 turbo petrol, which delivers 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque, combined with the six-speed EDC automatic.
In the next future Dacia will take creativity a step further by adding a feature that suggests places to take a break directly on its smartphone app. This is because the brand also wants to establish itself as a car manufacturer attentive to outdoor activities. For this reason, also in the coming years, four-wheel drive systems and equipment designed for outdoor activities will be proposed, including a kit for the Jogger, which will be available in 2023, and which gives the possibility to set up a real and its own double bed without cluttering the trunk.
I upcoming models of the Dacia will be engineered on the CMF-B platform of the Renault Group, trying then to increase the use of recycled materials, which will go from the current 12% (percentages of recycled plastic used on the Duster) to 20%.
