After nearly two years of fighting the difficulties of putting enough PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series console units in stores, Sony and Microsoft will be able to bet on new models of their machines to help mitigate this problem.
According to unofficial sources, Sony will present a new PS5 model in 2023, with removable disk, to reduce production and shipping costs, but now a new source has emerged that speaks of a more powerful model, a PS5 Pro.
It has long been speculated whether Microsoft will bet on more powerful versions of the consoles launched in 2020, while many were already expecting to see a PS5 Pro. According to Tez2, a well-known unofficial source of information from Rockstar Games, these consoles already exist and are already in the hands of studies.
According to Tez2, PS5 Pro and the more powerful Xbox series are already inside the studios that are working on future versions with the knowledge that these machines will be in stores and what their specifications are.
Tom Henderson, another well-known unofficial source, says that PS5 Pro is not the new console that Sony will release in 2023. This model of PS5, which points to September 2023, will be the new version, without disc player, sold separately, will serve to reduce costs and possibly the sales price of the console.
Since early 2022 we have heard of a PS5 Pro for 2023 or 2024 and now we have new sources claiming the console will arrive in 2024 or later, adding the new Xbox series to the rumor mill.
