The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources stressed that his party continues to monitor the quality of fuel oil (BBM). One of the steps involved is testing fuel samples from various service stations.
“We have measured the quality of the fuel by taking samples from different service stations and it is still in operation. Our function is to perform quality control,” said General Manager of Oil and Gas Tutuka Ariadji in his statement quoted from the Migas page, Monday (10/17/2022). ).

Tutuka explained that the fuel samples, especially the Pertalite type, were taken from different service stations and then tested by LEMIGAS. The tests are performed technically related to the standards and quality of Pertalite in accordance with the Decree of the General Manager (Kepdirjen) of Oil and Gas n. 0486.K / 10 / DJM.S / 2017 concerning standards and quality (specifications) of RON 90 gasoline fuel types marketed nationally.
“We tested it in LEMIGAS and there were 19 test parameters. So the parameters were many and it turned out that from the samples taken at different gas stations, including gas station samples that the public complained about, it turned out that everyone on spec. There is nobody out of specification“He said.
Not only that, his party also continues to test the fuel quality of other service stations as one of the stages of validating public complaints. Subsequently, the results of this test will be presented to the public by the government.
“We listen to the people who provide input and we check the information, we validate it. We will continue to perform our supervisory function, we will continue to perform. Next we will tell you what the results of the samples taken from the gas stations are,” Tutuka said. .
Meanwhile, the head of the LEMIGAS Oil and Gas Directorate-General Ariana Soemanto also broadcast the results of the Pertalite-type fuel tests at several service stations.
“As stated by the Director General of Oil and Gas, for the initial phase, the Pertalite test was carried out at several service stations. One of the test parameters is the octane number (RON), in which none of the test results has a RON of less than 90, all of them are above 90 RON, which is between 90.1 and 90.7. This test continues to be performed more extensively on various other service stations, so it will be even more massive. ” Ariana said.
As additional information, for the initial phase of the test, fuel samples were taken from six petrol stations in Jakarta relating to Pertalite standards and quality, i.e. Lenteng Agung petrol station, Taman Mini petrol station (2 stations service station), Abdul Muis petrol station, Sunter petrol station and S. Parma petrol station. In addition, the test has also been extended to other service stations.
