Startup from Monaco on tour in the United States
The tour now heads west: Boston, Detroit, San Francisco and finally Los Angeles are the stops on which Sono Motors will present to the Americans their “Sion”, said to be the “first economic solar electric car in the world”. It all started in a Munich garage in 2016. Serial production of the vehicle is now expected to start in the second half of 2023.
In addition to the solar car, Sono Motors has also developed a so-called “Solar Bus Kit” with which buses can be equipped with solar cells. In this context, the startup also collaborates with the Munich Transport Company (MVG).
