Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Another e-grocery startup has decided to close its service, namely Bananas. The company announced the decision in a Story post on its official Instagram account a while ago.
“We have been operating since January 2022, building brand together with a smart and brilliant group who always strive to provide 100% high quality service and experience for our customers. Over the past 10 months we have grown steadily and rapidly month after month, ”Bananas wrote.
“From the bottom of our hearts, we want to continue serving our loyal customers. But after operating for months constantly experimenting with different parts of the business, we couldn’t see how the economic unit could work.”

In the upload, Bananas announced that it would cease operations after selling the remaining inventory of products. The company also ensures that workers affected by the decision to close the service can pass it smoothly.
“We are working with a network of friends and colleagues in our industry to field our most affected talent to ensure a smooth landing during the transition,” the company said.
Bananas said the decision will make the company better and stronger in the future. The company added that the closure was not a business but hopes to serve again in the future.
“Today is not goodbye. We are excited for the future and look forward to serving you even better with the new innovations on the way,” Bananas said.
Before Bananas, it was a long time to boot who stopped the service electronic groceries or fast trade they. Traveloka, for example, closed the Traveloka Mart, which had only been operating for 6 months. Then, there was Brambang which he turned into e-commerce electronic.
TaniHub also closed the service business-to-consumer and now focus on business customers such as hotels and restaurants. Happy Fresh, which had closed its businesses, is now returning to serve consumers in Indonesia, but has decided to discontinue services in Malaysia and Thailand.
