LAUPHEIM – The charity organ concert by church musician Naho Kobayashi for the social projects of the Laupheim community foundation raised 1,200 euros. The event under the motto “Give us peace” took place in the Marienkirche in Laupheim.
In addition to the 1,000 euros donated by the visitors, the Laupheim Association for the Promotion of Sacred Music, as co-organizer, contributed another 200 euros. The idea for the benefit concert came from church musicians Naho Kobayashi and Bernhard Armbruster of the Society for the Promotion of Church Music. The organ pieces were chosen by the church musician faithful to the motto “Give us peace” and had the main themes of peace and war, as well as hope and pain. In addition to the works of well-known composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Louis Vierne and Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, the highlight of the evening was the closing piece by Franz Liszt “Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen”, interpreted in a very emotional way by Kobayashi.
Donations from the concert will be used for social projects in Laupheim. A partner was found in the Laupheimer Bürgerstiftung, which serves as a local platform for many volunteer activities. “We are very grateful to the organizers who support our social projects in Laupheim and thus also the citizens with the donations of the concert”, says Fridolin Schmid of the community foundation.
