MARRIED Tayah Victoria, of At First Sight UK, is hospitalized for mastitis just days after giving birth to her baby girl.
The reality TV star welcomed her first child into the world with co-star Adam Aveling on October 7, naming her Bella Emily Aveling.
Last night she revealed that she had been forced to undergo medical treatment and suffered from mastitis.
The painful condition is more common in mothers who are breastfeeding during the first three months after giving birth.
Antibiotics are usually prescribed to treat the condition, but they can last for weeks and cause flu-like symptoms, including body aches, fever, chills, and fatigue, as well as swollen and painful breasts.
On Saturday, Tayah, 25, shared an update on her maternity trip and said she was in the hospital with “Aunt Em”.

“Aunt Em came to see us this weekend, but unfortunately I spent some time in the hospital because I have mastitis,” she wrote, sharing a photo of Em cradling Beau.
Tayah and Adam are one of two couples who found love on the hit show last year.
We talked about how they were still together and Adam even proposed in real life.
They said they weren’t trying to have a baby when Tayah got pregnant, but they were thrilled to be pregnant.
What is mastitis?
Mastitis is a condition that causes inflammation and pain in a woman’s breast tissue.
It is more common in mothers who are breastfeeding, in the first three months after giving birth.
In women who are breastfeeding, this is often caused by a buildup of milk, as the baby has difficulty latching on.
Symptoms include:
- A red, swollen area that feels hot and painful to the touch
- A breast lump or area of hardness
- Burning pain that is continuous or occurs only during breastfeeding
- Nipple discharge, which may be white or contain streaks of blood
- Flu-like symptoms – including aches, fever, chills, and fatigue
If you have these symptoms, speak to your GP right away.
Their romance continued their fairytale wedding which saw them marry as strangers before actually falling in love and getting engaged.
Adam knelt down to ask the question during the vow renewal ceremony.
He told his fiancée how others had warned they were moving too fast, but he wanted to declare his “immortal” love and move on with their relationship.
Tayah said it was the “best day” of her life, but despite the emotional scenes, their televised wedding ceremony was not legally binding.
The couple are planning another ceremony to formalize their union, but postponed it for a year after discovering that Tayah was pregnant with a baby girl.
