The MAP launched the investigation late last month and more than 20 auditors reviewed the payrolls of each vice ministry, directorate and department of the institution in order to establish the number of servers needed and make management more efficient and practicable.
It is reported that in the Minerd headquarters alone the number of appointed persons exceeds eight thousand, which, according to auditors, is exaggerated for a state institution.

The auditors found a large number of employees who appear on the payroll but who are not involved in carrying out their duties in the ministry.

According to the data requested through the Office of Free Access to Information of the Ministry of Educationthe amount of the administrative pay slip in August 2020 amounted to one thousand 560 million, 553 thousand 318 pesos and in August 2022 it recorded an amount of one thousand 500 million, 013 thousand 213 pesos, with a reduction of approximately 60,540,104 pesos.
The payroll of teachers in August 2020 amounted to the payment of 5 thousand 576 million 057 thousand 388 pesos and in August 2022 the amount of this payroll increased by about 2 thousand 176 million 621 thousand 018 pesos, paying monthly the Minerd in the salaries of teachers 7 thousand 752 million 678 thousand 356 pesos.
Resources go to capital expenditures
In a report on the situation and evolution of the budget implementation of the Ministry of Education of the year 2021 it turns out that from the allocation of 4% of the current Gross Domestic Product to pre-university education, the institute has received the amount of 135,696.76 million additional pesos, of which 76.27% is went to direct spending on staff and a very low percentage compared to the quality of education.
