Foden is a student of the “City” club, which has represented teams of various ages since the age of nine. Since his debut in November 2017, the midfielder has scored 52 goals in 182 games and has become one of the brightest students at the “City” academy.
“It’s hard to put into words how happy I am to sign this contract,” said Foden. “It’s a dream come true. I’ve been a City fan all my life. I’ve been training here for so many years and I’ve even been a kid with the ball. I love this club so much, so knowing I’ll play it until 2027 is fantastic”.
At the end of the 2021/2022 season of the English Premier League, Foden was recognized as the best young player in the league for the second consecutive season. He played 27 games last season, scoring nine goals and providing five assists, ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace), Tyreek Mitchell (Crystal) in the race for the best young player in the Palace “) , Mason Mount (London “Chelsea”), Aaron Ramsdale (London “Arsenal”), Declan Rice (West Ham “United”) and Bukayo Saka (London “Arsenal”).
