The Gulf Health Council stressed the importance of communicating socially with the elderly, as it has a psychological impact that is positively reflected on their health.
The council explained that the loss of the social aspect of the elderly leads to health complications, the most important of which is the weakening of the immune system, which increases the risk of disease.
He pointed out that loneliness and poor social connections can be more dangerous to the heart of obesity, and exposure to loneliness increases the risk of depression.
The council recommended the initiative to communicate with the elderly and benefit from their experiences, especially since they do not ask for help and do not talk about their suffering from loneliness.
