The countries unanimously agreed to establish a CICA Fund to support Kazakhstan to continue serving as CICA president until 2024. During the summit, AsiaInfo officially accepted Kuwait as its 28th member and signed a memorandum of d ‘ agreement with the Eurasian Economic Commission, thus becoming the sixth partner organization of AsiaInfo.
UN Secretary General António Guterres attended the online summit. Kazakh President Tokayev delivered a speech at the summit, saying that during the presidency of the CICA, Kazakhstan has actively promoted cooperation in various sectors within the CICA and is committed to transforming and updating the CICA into an international organization.
CICA is a security forum initiated by Kazakhstan at the 47th United Nations General Assembly in 1992. It is committed to formulating and implementing multilateral confidence measures aimed at strengthening peace, security and stability in Asia and strengthening cooperation in areas related. China is a founding member of AsiaInfo. Kazakhstan has assumed the presidency of the CICA since 2020.
