A letter from Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has been released to her ex-husband Brad Pitt.
According to the American entertainment media ET on the 12th (local time), it was reported that Jolie’s email was found among several documents submitted to the court by two people who are suing the division of property and the custody of the their children.
Pitt filed a damages claim, claiming that Jolie sold her stake in the French winery she bought together. The public email was written to Pitt by Jolie during the sale of her stake in the winery in January 2021.
In the email, Jolie said, “I wrote it in a way that I wouldn’t be seen emotionally. The winery is where the youngest twins, Knox and Vivienne, were born, and where we got married in front of our children. “.
She said: “It’s hard to write this email without crying because it’s a place where we promised we would grow old together.
“The winery is also where our family’s demise began,” Jolie said, referring to Pitt’s problem of alcohol abuse.
He said, “I’ve seen a lot of reckless behavior, money spent without my knowledge, decisions I haven’t discussed.” She said, “I was moved to see you selling alcohol recently. It was irresponsible and I didn’t want my kids to see it. It was painful. It reminded me of the past.”
“Alcoholism has hurt my family so deeply and I can’t get involved in the alcohol business,” he wrote.
Pitt did not buy Jolie’s stake, after which Jolie sold her stake in the cellar to a Russian businessman.
Pitt is suing Jolie for damages, alleging that Jolie had sold her without her consent and that she had violated the agreement between the two.
Jolie is responding with a counterclaim. Jolie’s attorneys have argued with Pitt’s attorneys to sell their stake in the winery, but they insist the negotiations broke down because Pitt’s demands were too high.
Jolie’s email should be used as an important piece of evidence in the two people’s judicial battle over the division of property.
