Kochi: The High Court has rejected the appeal filed by the travel vlogger brothers of Kannur Kilianthara against the deregistration of the modified vehicle “Napoleon”.
Judge Satish Nainan rejected a plea filed by Ebin and Libin, popularly known as the E-Buljet brothers, against the Motor Vehicle Department’s warning for alleged illegal modifications.
Their trip was converted into a Tempo Traveler caravan. Meanwhile, he has been captured by the Automotive Department. The vehicle was seized for installing several laser lights and making illegal changes to the tire clearance and license plate. A notice to unsubscribe has been issued.
The petition stressed that the government does not have the authority to impound the vehicle. However, the government argued that this was a step under the Motor Vehicle Act. The petition was rejected stating that it could not interfere with the action taken legally by the government.
