– 30% of fabrics always have analogues of domestic production and, if necessary, you can use them. Yes, for all material groups there is a shortage in some categories. But those who have developed procurement departments, have specialists to negotiate in English and other languages with their counterparts, there are no particular problems.
We work with all of Asia. With Europe, of course, now less, even if before they had exclusive partnerships with most of the classic fabric factories. But China, Taiwan, South Korea, Uzbekistan and Turkey, and many other countries, such as India, Cambodia, Bangladesh, supply materials. The alternatives are easy to find.
What is the recruiting process like now?
– So far, without seamstresses and tailors, you can’t go anywhere. But modern equipment replaces their functions and simplifies their work. On the contrary, to be honest, we don’t feel a staff shortage with employees during such redeployments and major changes. A lot of things are closed or employees are looking for a better place to work, so we have a stable and good flow of staff.
