Heel pain is one of the most common conditions for many people, caused by various causes and factors.
In the following lines, the “Consultation” examines the causes of heel pain in women, according to the “Health line” website.
1- bursitis
When the bursa – the fluid-filled sac in the heel area responsible for movement of the joints and muscles in the foot – becomes inflamed, the affected person may experience heel pain, especially when standing on their toes.
Heel bursitis is caused by overuse of the ankle when performing certain activities such as walking or running.
2- fracture
The heel of the foot can be exposed to many different forms of injury, particularly fractures, due to osteoporosis, or constant stress from strenuous exercise.

3- Plantar fasciitis
The plantar fascia is a ligament that extends from the heel to the other side of the foot.When it becomes inflamed following a rupture of the plantar fascia fibers, the affected person feels pain, especially after long periods of rest.
4- Ankle tunnel syndrome
Heel pain is one of the most common causes of foot pain in women and occurs due to suffering from certain conditions such as sprained feet or neuropathy.
Among the most obvious symptoms associated with ankle tunnel syndrome, the sensation of pain in the heel of the foot, with a feeling of numbness in the same area.
5- Heel spurs
It is a bony prominence in the heel area, a condition that occurs as a result of exposing certain areas of the heel to continuous stress for long periods, particularly the plantar fascia.

6- Injury to the Achilles tendon
Injury to the Achilles tendon occurs due to inflammatory diseases such as gout or overuse of the tendon, resulting from certain activities such as jumping, or from the use of improper shoes.
