Wonder Partner’s, a company specializing in augmented reality

Integrating virtual 3D elements within a real environment is this technology by which we mean Augmented reality. In 2017, it was with the ambition to invest in this field that Alexis Thomas and Patrick Gluck left their respective jobs and met.

Their first idea: to make coloring books in augmented reality. The practice: By scanning the notebook via your smartphone, you had the opportunity to bring images to life. It was a success especially among young people, with 40,000 sales in 2018.

But it’s not about stopping there. The start-up then offers its solutions to large groups with relatively large funds dedicated to this type of innovation, such as the car manufacturer Renault. At the 2018 Paris Motor Show, Wonder Partner’s dedicates a space to its stand to allow visitors to discover prototypes inaccessible to the general public in Augmented Reality. Thanks to a tablet it was possible to show a vehicle of which the smallest details and technologies could be observed, without damaging the real prototype.

It was believed that the March 2020 confinement would damage the activity. Not to mention a harmless discussion of Alexis Thomas with his wife. The co-founder of The Wonder Partner reminded me of the scene: “To change our sofa, it would be much easier to see them in augmented reality in our living room, it would avoid taking measurements and wasting time with our meter”

The company then imagines the product “Upgraded shop“. It consists of setting up on e-commerce sites: “viewers” in augmented reality. Objective: to visualize the objects in real size in order to facilitate the projection on a purchase and thereby increase the sales of partner companies.

Since last August, the Augmented Shop technology has been released to the general public. Entrance fee: 99 euros per month. Despite the youth of the offer, Wonder Partner’s has the confidence of large local groups and structures.

Partner companies have asked their customers to inquire about the use of these Augmented Reality tools. The satisfaction rate is excellent with an average rating of 8.5 / 10.
