Kelly Clarkson is known for her incredible singing voice which helped make her the artist she is today. She is not related to the NBA, but her stardom helped her get involved in the championship. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Clarkson had big dreams of becoming a great singer. That dream came true in 2002 when she auditioned for “American Idol: The Search for a Superstar”.
It was her friends who encouraged her to try an audition and she eventually won the contest that same year. Since then, Clarkson has made iconic songs that fueled her stardom. Songs like “Since U Been Gone”, “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” and “A Moment Like This” helped Clarkson achieve world fame.
Clarkson has won three Grammy Awards as a singer and is still active. At this time, she was seen engaging in her show of hers, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” which grew stronger and stronger. The show is in its fourth season.
Clarkson has also been involved in the NBA on three separate occasions.
There was a case where he appeared in a commercial about the league. Along with Ashlee Simpson, Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan, they seemed to be promoting their love for the championship.
During the 2004 All-Star Game, the NBA hired Kelly Clarkson to perform at halftime.
His last and most recent exposure to the NBA was in 2011, when he sang the American national anthem before Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Being from Fort Worth, he supported the Dallas Mavericks in the finals.
We can’t wait to see more of Kelly Clarkson on the basketball screen.
The Dallas Mavericks are the elite this 2022-23 NBA season
The Dallas Mavericks are one of the all time favorites this season. The front office has finally addressed its frontcourt issues and is trying to do better.
During their off-season, the Mavs traded for Christian Wood, a player who may be suitable for the team’s offense. The pick-and-roll play of him alongside Luka Doncic is something that should be deadly. Plus, he can constantly take down outside shots when needed.
Doncic is also expected to do extraordinary things this season. Many pundits have chosen the three-time All-Star as the league’s MVP this season. After years without a win, it could be his year. He was also reduced to a healthier figure which could be his ticket to winning the prize.
The Dallas Mavericks will begin their season against the Phoenix Suns on October 20th.
