Each path has its own story

Chemin de la Clastre, located at the foot of Mas David, is one of the oldest streets in the country.

On the Chemin de Régordane route, pilgrims have used it since the Middle Ages. A clastre once a cloister, this ancient path therefore had to lead, starting from the 12th century and the settlement of a Benedictine priory dedicated to Saint-André in the country, to the monastery of these monks known for their contribution to agricultural progress in the South of France. Their presence is still visible in the village with the rise of the Chapel also in Mas David and the rise of the Priory which leads to rue Basse, without forgetting the patron saint of the church who, since then, has been the apostle André.

As the other would say, ten centuries of history contemplate us on this path …
