New turning point in the case of the disappearance of little Maddie. The main suspect, a 45-year-old German currently in detention, was charged with five other acts committed between 2000 and 2017 in Portugal.
The case of little Maddie, Madeleine McCann, who disappeared when she was 3 years old, from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2007. From the arrest of a German, Christian B, at the beginning of the year, the vice has huddled around this suspect, known as a recidivist pedophile.
Five new charges
If he has already been convicted several times, the man is now accused of five new cases, for acts that were allegedly committed between 2000 and 2017 in Portugal. The facts for which he is accused concern three rapes: that of a woman between 70 and 80 years old, that of a 14-year-old girl and that of a 20-year-old woman.
Two more attacks were reported by the AFP, quoted by 20 minutesallegedly committed against a 10-year-old German girl and an 11-year-old Portuguese girl.
A disappearance that shook the whole world
The spokesperson for the Braunschweig prosecutor’s office, responsible for the Maddie case, commented on these ongoing cases, which result from several years of investigation, in April, to explain that they want to “close this site in the near future” in order to be able to take care of Maddie exclusively.
This Tuesday he assured that investigations continue on the disappearance of the girl, whose body has never been found.
The parents of the little British boy had given the alert on the evening of 3 May 2007. On vacation in a hotel complex in Praia da Luz, a seaside resort south of Lisbon, they noticed the disappearance of their 3-year-old daughter in the evening. First the local police, then the Interpole, the whole world ended up looking for the girl.
