The Democratic Party of Korea (DPJ), which is a member of the National Defense Committee of the National Assembly of the National Assembly, explained that it has actions in the defense sector and has raised controversy over the relevance of the job.

According to National Assembly ownership disclosure details published by the National Assembly on 27 last month, CEO Lee acquired 1,670 shares of Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering and 690 shares of Hyundai Heavy Industries for a total of 231.25 million. by won.

The shares weren’t specified in detail on the candidate ownership Lee reported during the presidential election earlier this year, but CEO Lee said he bought these shares with his existing savings.

In response, the Democratic Party said in an announcement to the media: “The actions were held prior to the decision to stand for election and have nothing to do with the activities of the National Defense Commission.”

He also explained: “Normally a review period of two months is required and we have not yet been informed of the results.”

If, as a result of the examination, it is determined that it is work-related, the inventory exceeding KRW 30 million must be sold or entrusted within two months and the fact must be reported to the property registration authority.
