The ability of animals to see color also depends on the color receptors in the retina of the eye. This causes some animals to see better at night and see colors differently. Below is a list of 5 color blind animals, summarized by SINDOnews from the animals.mom page, Tuesday (11/10/2022).
1. Dog
Dogs are considered color blind because they cannot see certain colors. These colors include red, orange, and green. Dogs can tell the difference between colors, but they appear more yellow or blue. The only colors a dog can see are yellow, blue, and purple.

2. Owl
Nocturnal birds, such as owls, are the only color blind bird species. They have a reflector behind the retina that reflects light. Birds can see ultraviolet light and can observe visual patterns that only humans can see through an additional external filter. The general rule is that the brighter the species, the less likely it is color blind.

3. Green Turtle
Most reptiles can see through ultraviolet light. Reptiles with slit pupils can only see in black and white and are most active at night. Turtles have very good eyesight but cannot see long distances. Through ultraviolet vision, colors can be more intense and look very different from humans.
