Dr. Heba Kotb, a consultant for marital relations, confirmed that pregnancy affects a woman’s sexual health, explaining that some women are terrified of intimacy, while others are completely rejected from sexual intercourse.

Kotb said during his presentation of the “Bouduh” program presented by the media, Amr Al-Leithi, that the sex of the fetus could have an impact on the sexual desire of some pregnant women.
The marital relations consultant explained that pregnancy usually increases the sexual desire of the pregnant woman, due to the passage of a percentage of the male hormone “testosterone” through the placenta in her bloodstream.

She added that the decreased sexual desire in pregnant women can sometimes be caused by the hormonal disturbances the body is experiencing during this period, which leads to a feeling of lethargy and mood swings.
The woman’s sexual desire was confirmed to regain her balance 6 weeks after giving birth.
