Diesel returns to flirt with the absolute record, even petrol becomes significantly more expensive: “There must be a new reduction in excise duties”

Despite an excise cut earlier this year, the price of diesel is once again flirting with record highs. On Tuesday, the maximum price will rise to € 2,226 per liter, which is just 6 cents less than the absolute peak in mid-March. Gasoline will also become significantly more expensive on Tuesday. “We are advocating a reduction of excise duties to the European minimum”.
