World Federation of Mental Health: The Corona pandemic taught us the meaning of mental disorder

Nasser Loza, president of the World Federation of Mental Health, said the Corona pandemic taught him the meaning of mental disorder.

He added, in a telephone interview with the “Hadrat Al-Citizen” on-screen “Al-Hadath Al-Youm” program on Monday evening, that he was suffering from psychological depression after the Crown, and a doctor treated him, noting that the doctor could not cure himself.

Loza pointed out that mental health is related to the quality of a peaceful life and dealing with others with a kind of psychological stability.

He pointed out that there is a stigma attached to those suffering from mental illness, demanding that they address this stigma that has persisted for many years.

He noted that stigma causes many people to refrain from going to a psychiatrist for treatment, stressing the importance of learning to improve their lifestyle, especially by accepting others and accepting different points of view.

Today, Monday 10 October, is World Mental Health Day, during which the World Health Organization is trying to spread awareness among people about mental illnesses and disorders, especially after the economic and psychological problems caused by the Corona pandemic. .
