ABU DHABI, 10 October / WAM / With the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. The 29th edition of the Jewelery and Watches Exhibition will begin on November 9th and will continue until November 13th, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition and Convention Center “ADNEC”, with the participation of 170 local and international companies from more than 20 countries of all regions of the world.
The jewelry and watches exhibition is a platform for displaying the finest jewelry and the latest watches, made by the best designers locally and internationally.
The five-day exhibition offers the opportunity to explore well-known and emerging jewelry collections and watch houses from around the world, including Indian Kohinoor Jewelery, founded in 1862, Nsouli Jewelery designs, George Hakim Jewelery, founded in 1875 , Italian designs by Viscetti and Peshkar Devji, Ferrari Firenze, Tabarini and many other luxury brands.
The exhibition, which constitutes a milestone on the map of the emirate’s most important events, attracted more than 6,000 visitors last year, including jewelry lovers, buyers and pioneers in the world of jewelry and watchmaking. In this year’s edition of the Emirati Designs Gallery, the exhibition features one-of-a-kind pieces that emulate the heritage of the UAE with jewelry that fuses sophistication, authentic historical depth and modernity.
The exhibition also includes the announcement of the names of the winners of the “Creativity” award, which this year celebrates the tenth anniversary of its establishment since its inception, to select the best jewelry designers in a competition organized by the Jewelery Fair and Collaboration Watchmaking with Emirati jewelry designer Azza Al Qubaisi.
The competition is open to all emerging local jewelry designers to present their innovative work.
Firas Abu Latif, director of the exhibition, said: “The jewelry and watch exhibition is a unique opportunity for those interested in keeping up to date with the latest international designs in the field of jewelry and watches, as well as gold and diamond exhibitions. traditional and modern, as well as the latest models of watches produced by local and international factories. We devote our efforts in each session to provide all that is new and distinctive. He added: “In this year’s edition, we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Creativity Awards, which have had a major impact in highlighting a group of promising talent, offering the opportunity to showcase the creative works of future designers in this distinct event in the region “.
