As of Monday, the Basque-Osakidetza Health Service has administered a total of 143,501 pediatric vaccines against covid-19, two more than a week ago. Thus, the percentage of Basque children aged 5 to 11 who completed the vaccination program remains below 50% (49%), while 61.1% received at least one dose.
According to the latest vaccination bulletin from the Basque Government’s Department of Health, released on Monday, a total of 88,596 children have received at least one dose and 71,080 have completed the vaccination schedule.
Among the adult population, on the other hand, 4,698,756 vaccines against covid were administered, including the first and second doses, as well as single and booster doses.
Specifically, 1,851,669 people over the age of 12 received at least one dose of the vaccine, 93.6% of that population group, and 1,840,798 completed the regimen, 93%. Likewise, 1,260,186 administered the booster dose, which represents 73.5% of people who completed the regimen and are over 18 years old.
AGE GROUPS
Regardless of the booster dose, the rate with the full regimen exceeds 90% in all age groups, with the exception of the population aged 18 to 39 (with a rate of 87% between 30 and 39 years and 86.7% between 18 and 29 years).
Among the elderly, 94% of people over the age of 90 have a complete vaccination, 97.6% of those between 80 and 89 years, 96.6% of people between 70 and 79 years, the 95.6% of the 60 to 69 year old group, 94.8% in the 50 to 59 year old group and 92.8% in the 40 to 49 year old group. Among the youngest, 96.2% of the 12 to 17 year old group completed the program.
Of the people who had received the full vaccination program, 97.9% of people over the age of 90, 95.0% of people between 80 and 89, 96.9% of the group between 70 and 79 years, 92.4% of the group between 60 and 69 years, 82.3% of people between 50 and 59 years, 64.1% of the group between 40 and 49 years, 45.7 % of the group between 30 and 39 years and 39.2% of those between 18 and 29 years.
