When viewed throughout the week, transaction data from October 3-6, 2022 shows foreigners are in a buying position on the domestic financial market.

From the BI data, foreign investors recorded a net purchase of Rp7.28 trillion, consisting of a net purchase of Rp2.51 trillion in the SBN market and a net purchase of Rp4.77 trillion in the stock market.

With these developments, Indonesia’s 5-year CDS premium fell to 146.30 bps as of 6 October 2022 from 156.50 bps as of 30 September 2022.

Citing BI’s release on Sunday (10/9/2022), the 10-year government bond yield increased to 7.20% on Friday (10/7/2022).

Meanwhile, the rupee was still trading in the Rp 15.185-Rp 15.210 range at the end of last week.

This condition is in line with the strengthening of the Dollar Index (DXY) which strengthened to the level of 112.26.

This shows that global uncertainty still looms over the domestic financial market.

Bank Indonesia is committed to continue to strengthen coordination with government and relevant authorities and to continue to optimize the policy mix strategy to maintain the stability of the macroeconomic and financial system to support further economic recovery.
